What's the best way to become a great golfer? Do you try to imitate the style of your favorite pro golfer? Or is it necessary to develop your own style? Unfortunately, there really are not any shortcuts to becoming a great golfer. What works for one throw it may not work for you at all. It's really important to develop your own golf style.

First of all, it's almost impossible to swing a golf ball in exactly the same way as someone else. Although there may be similarities, your body style is unique and your life experiences have cause you to develop muscles in your own way. Even if you find someone who is very much like you, subtle differences will still have an impact on the way you swing the club.

Also, golf is an individual sport. Finding your own style of play and reaching for your own personal best is part of what makes the game enjoyable.

Instead of putting a lot of effort into imitating someone else's style, see if you can work with the coach who will help you develop your own style. Having a dispassionate outside observer is the quickest way to make corrections to your swing. However, you should look for a coach who's willing to work with your natural swing resident forcing you into a cookie-cutter style the may not work for you.

Of course, your golf coach should have some skills of his own. It doesn't do much good to pay someone to just stand there and watch you fail if they can't step in ensuring amounts done. The best golf teacher is one who can take their it buys and adapt it to your natural abilities.
